“Stillness of the mind is a fertile ground where seeds of presence and intention are planted.” -Berna Merih
In this fast-paced world, being busy, distracted, and overwhelmed became the norm. Professional life encourages continuous action, multi-tasking, projects to follow, deadlines to meet, best practices to apply, decisions to be made, performance to improve, and many more…
We need to stop - pause to find stillness.
Eckhart Tolle once said, “True intelligence operates silently. Stillness is where creativity and solutions to problems are found.”
Our intelligence finds its way to problem-solving and creativity on the grounds of stillness. When we eliminate distractions, we create our “focus zone.” Focus zone is where we reach our true potential and become productive. Most important of all, our senses fully operate when we are focused. We can hear our inner voice better and start listening to what our heart says. Moreover, we become good listeners to everyone. We listen with an ability to decipher what people say, what they do not say, and what their body language is saying.
People who know me and also the people I coach notice and appreciate my calm and patient state of being. They say I am a good listener. Why? Because I do not want to talk just to talk. I do not waste the conversation. I want to make the other person be the center of attention, not myself. I want to make others feel seen, heard, and valued.
🌱 I want to plant seeds to make that moment worthwhile.
I am sure you want that too. Of all the people and leadership skills, #communication is key to everything in life. And it starts with listening to yourself and others. That is only possible with the stillness of the mind.
